If you are familiar with the show "What Not to Wear", you know it's all about getting rid of fashion mistakes and after throwing away most of the person's clothes they end up with outfits that the poor soul actually looks good in.
Well, I was invited to one of these parties last night. I was definitely curious but also feeling clueless about what in the world I was going to wear to the party in the first place! I felt like I had to wear the "right" outfit without knowing yet what that "right" outfit "should" be. Crazy! I thought about it for 3 weeks. Silly, but true! I went through 3 outfits before leaving my house and was late to the party because I was primping. I could just laugh at myself all night!
It ends up that the party was more like a style class where these cute sisters taught us tricks for wearing our clothes in a more flattering way and how to find clothes that fit our body types. They totally helped us feel at ease and after a fun night with friends I went home thinking that I might even consider letting them go through my closet and go shopping with me. Am I crazy? Who knows...my birthday's coming up? (Hint! Hint! Travis!)

Megan (Weir) and I were just discussing about how you know you are old when your clothes come back in style and the Young Women start telling you how cute your clothes are:)
Kayelynn, you need no style advice. I look to you for what's looks good! Actually, please come to Vegas and be my "What Not to Wear" guru -- I desperately need it!
Kayelynn...you are the last person that needs it but I sure had fun checking a book out of the library that had all the "rules" etc. See if your library has it...it's called "The Science of Sexy"...it's totally safe...not like the title sounds!
I need to go check it out again now that I just had a baby and I'm dealing with a whole different shape of body than the last time I read it! Oh the joys of the up and down!
Holli, that's so funny. So I'll just keep all my clothes and someday they will ALL be cool! Tell Megan "Hi" for me!
Lisa, how about a girls weekend sometime? I would LOVE THAT!
JaNae, I LOVED seeing a comment from you! Please keep them coming! I'm so curious about that book and I'm going to go to the library website and reserve it right now. Thanks for passing on the great idea! I miss you! (get a blog!)
