Yes! I really did it! I did absolutely NOTHING inside the house all day yesterday. (Well, besides nap time when I just blogged!) Ty and I went VT in the morning and when we came home we didn't even go inside. He just hopped on his little trike and away we went...on the longest walk. Then when I asked him if he wanted a picnic lunch in the backyard I thought he'd pass out with all his "YES! YES! YES! YES!" yes's.
We finally went in for his nap and then the second he woke up we were out the door again, this time with Justin home from school and a longer wagon ride with snacks this time. And we didn't go in until Travis came home from work and I was so happy to tell him that NOTHING was planned for dinner. I don't know why that made me feel so happy. I think I just really enjoyed having a day of flittering! (I think I got that word from the movie "Summer Magic".) How often can you really say you didn't have to "do" anything all day? It was WONDERFUL! I hope I can have another "Nothing" day again soon!

That sounds so fun! I will keep that in my bag of things I should do when I have at least three kids in school! Not that I am complaining...but that will be almost 4 more years!
I love, love, love, love, love Summer Magic!! I could sing you that whole song! I also love "flitterin'" days, they really are the greatest. And I always get a secret inner JOY when I know I didn't clean up after the kids about a billion times that day. ;)
Oh, and I am planning on doing my "bag tag" Things have been crazy.
Isn't spring fever great? I love it when time is spent outdoors after winter hibernation.
I, too, love Summer Magic. "It's time for flitterin' . . . dustin' off the shelf and flitterin' far over the horizon." I could go on . . . how fitting! :)
Next time you want to do nothing, I want to too!
I love this! What a wonderful day for you guys. (ps, I love Summer Magic.. :) )
I am so jealous...it was so cold today! =)
