11 Months Old

Allie is 11 months old today. Every day with her has been a joy. Here are some of her favorite things to do these days:
1. Today I held her hands while she was standing and she walked 10 tiny steps before sitting back down.
2. She likes to lick everything. Including the walls and the dishwasher door.
3. Allie can sign "more", "all done" and "hat". She saw herself today in the mirror and noticed the bow on her head. She immediately signed "hat". Adorable. She has her own version of signing "baby" with one bent arm rocking off to the side of her body.

4. She says what sounds like "Hi Dad!" when Travis comes into the house. She says "Mom" and "Ta" (Tyler) and "Ju" (Justin).
5. She gets the biggest giggle and smile on her face when Justin "saves" her from the play pen or her crib.

We are loving our sweet babes!

Superhero Cat

This morning, Travis and I heard loud scraping and a crash like someone was climbing up onto our roof. He ran outside to look and found a cat with a bird in it's mouth. We totally laughed out loud. A cat just jumped onto our rooftop from the top of our fence and caught a bird. Then jumped 15 feet back down to the grass. It then ran across the street with it's treasure. Amazing! I tell ya, no more loitering birds in our yard! I wonder if he'll chase the racoons away from trying to get into the vents under our house? Here kitty kitty...

Sundance
During our summer trip to Utah, we had a Davis family reunion up at Sundance for 3 days. Everyone came: my parents, siblings and their families. We all stayed in a large cabin just over from the ski slopes. It was great to be all together and the kids had such a fun time with all of their cousins. We just enjoyed the time to relax and enjoy time together.

10 Months Old Today

Allie turned 10 months old today. We celebrated with a quick photo shoot. I tried to capture her "Allie faces". This one is a classic: She seems to always be sticking her tongue out. Especially when we are outside and it is a little bit breezy. She must love the feeling of the cool air.

Her hair is finally long enough to pull back in a barrette. I'm loving it!

Right now she is exactly the perfect height to beaver the windowsill. When she pulls herself up to stand up to look out the window, her mouth just easily clamps right onto the ledge. Yes, we have marks to prove she was there! I try to line up toys on the windowsill so she'll play with them instead.
Those are 18 month sized pants she's wearing. I had bought them ahead so she could wear them this next winter. lol!

She is a bit shy around strangers now and when they talk to her she'll put her head down on my shoulder for a second or two. I think it's sweet.

Oh and we just love all her kissable rolls and chubby cheeks!

Kindergarten Graduation
Here is our cute graduate with his wonderful teacher, Mrs. Audrey Davis.

Tyler did such a super job this year in kindergarten. He enjoyed going to school each day and he learned so much. Now he is ready for 1st grade! We are so happy for him!

Tyler and his classmates performed some darling songs for all the parents. Mrs. Davis said she enjoyed having Tyler in her class. When she handed out the graduation certificates, she mentioned what each child wants to be when they grow up. Tyler wants to be a mail man. He told me later that one reason he wants that job is so he can ride the mail truck. "And leave the door open while I drive!"

The kinder bus driver was so nice this year. She really watched out for Tyler and was so understanding when I wasn't out at the bus stop some mornings when I was busy with Allie. The bus stopped on the corner in front of our house and she would just wait while Tyler ran to ring the door bell. Then she'd wave at me and go on her way. That didn't happen very often, but when it did I was very thankful for such a thoughtful bus driver. She also gave the kids rewards every now and then for being safe on the bus. Tyler absolutely loved riding the bus this year.
Now for summer break...Yay!

Spring Musical
The boys performed today in their spring school musical concert. It is always great to hear them sing their favorite songs from their music classes.
Here is Tyler sitting by his friend, Eddie, with his teacher, Mrs. Davis, sitting behind him.

Where's Waldo...I'm mean Justin? Here's a hint: He's smack in the center looking at the camera.
