Allie's 5 Month Birthday Photo Shoot

I love how her big blue eyes smile. They just light up whenever she gets excited.

Tyler told me the other day that "Every day is Allie's birthday, right?" I said "Yes...for the first year!" I love it.



Allie is my grabby crab. She reaches out and grabs everything. When I'm carrying her around the kitchen table she will pull the curtain along with us. She always grabs Justin's ear when he gives her a hug. When I rock her to sleep on my shoulder, she reaches one arm around the back of my neck and grabs a fist full of my hair.

Tyler and Allie are good buddies. They just love each other. I get choked up looking at this picture of Tyler hugging her. I just love the look of adoration in his eyes. She looks a little smothered...but she never cries or acts like she doesn't like his attention. I'm always reminding him not to get right up in her face. But, I think she loves it. I need to chill. Sit back and let them enjoy each other.





I love how she nuzzled into me. She'll grabs tight to my neck with both hands and attacks my cheek with her open-mouth. I can't help but giggle. Then we both get the hic-ups! Ha ha!



Justin is such a great big brother. He is Allie's bodyguard. He is always looking out for her safety and anticipates what we can do to help her to be more comfortable or happy. I love that he is such a responsible boy. I let him hold her when I need to go do something around the house for a few minutes. He has fun and "walks" her down the hall to meet me wherever I am. He walks on his knees and holds her up so she can hop across the room with him. She gets the biggest smile on her face and her eyes just about pop. It's adorable.

Blessing Day

Allie Mai Guptill was given a name and a blessing in church today, November 21, 2010, by her father, Travis, with Grandpa Guptill and Uncle Lance standing in the circle along with other close friends in our ward. She turns 3 months old tomorow on the 22nd.

Happy 2 Months Allie!

You are 61 days old today, Babes!

At 2 months old, you can already do so many things. Here are your top tricks:

You smile and are such a happy baby.

We think it is so cute when you stick out your long tongue at us.

You can sleep through anything...unless we lay you down in your crib.

Allie at 8 weeks

We hope you never stop making your adorable "tiny circle lips" expression.

You still think it is fun to be wide awake in the middle of the night with Mommy and Daddy. We think it would be just fine if you would like to move the party to the middle of the day.

You found your hands this week and suck her thumb, fingers and fist...anything you can catch in your mouth.

You like to go on adventures in your front carrier. You slept right through the pumpkin patch this week.



The other day you rolled over from your stomach to your back while you were playing with Daddy on the blanket.

You are so interested to look at everything and coo like you have so much to say. I know you do.

You follow your brothers around the room with your eyes and kink your neck to look at Daddy.

Mommy loves to have fashion shows with you every day and is happy when you dirty your clothes so you can try on something else. It's fun having a girl!

We love you so much, Allie, and can't get enough of your cuddles and slobbery kisses!

Breaking Dawn

Wanna come over tonight at 3:30 a.m.? We're into all-night parties these days. Peanut butter pretzels dipped in Nutella and "Gone with the Wind" is on the game plan for tonight. Oh, you'll have to bounce a baby. But how could you resist a little cutie-pie with a darling smile! I know I can't. The party's over when the sun comes up. See you tonight!

***Tyler asked me today if Allie is nocturnal. Lol! I gave him a big old "YES!"

A day in the life of Tyler

Tyler's First Day

Tyler was so excited today for his first day in Kindergarten. His teacher's name is Mrs. Davis. He thinks that is pretty neat because he also has a Grandma and Grandpa Davis. Tyler is so ready for school although I think he is especially excited about riding the bus to school each day.

First Day for Justin

Justin's first day of 3rd grade was today. The first day of Kindergarten is tomorrow for Tyler. He decided to go along with Dad today to cheer on his big brother.

Here is a picture of Justin with his best buddies, James and Ethan. They are so happy to be in the same class again this year.

Fun with Grandpa

We felt lucky to have Grandpa Davis stay for 2 weeks to help with Allie and the boys. He took the boys on many adventures that they will remember for a long time. Including outings to the magic forest down our street, a trip to the dollar store & Subway for lunch, playing with Lego's and dinosaurs, soccer games and the zoo.






In the midst of all that fun, he made time to make us yummy meals and helped Travis with a big project in our garage.

When my parents came out to help after Justin was born (9 years ago this next May), my Dad came up with the idea to build stacked-to-the-ceiling shelving units for storage space in our one car garage. My brother, Jared, was here to help. So, Travis, Jared and my Dad went to work all that week in the garage. Bless them. Ever since then, we have loved those shelves.

After living in this house for nearly 9 years and adding two more kids to our crew, we just have more stuff. Now that we have another munchkin with all of her munchkin things, we have been starting to feel a bit crowded in our home sweet home. We have four bedrooms but hardly ANY storage space throughout the house. Small rooms, small closets, no basement, you get the picture. I have been getting good at purging and passing on things we don't really need anymore. But as Travis tells me now, "We can't throw away everything!"

When my parents came out to help with Allie when she was born, my Dad came up with a new solution for our garage: Building a garage-wide suspended storage unit over the garage door. He and Travis worked hard for more than a week to build an awesome storage space. It was so funny one day when my dad was drilling into the ceiling of the garage which in directly below our bedroom where I was rocking Allie. I knocked a loud "Hello" on my wall, "Da, da-da-da-da..." and he answered with a "da-da" knocked on the ceiling. It cracked me up that I could hear him laughing down there. And of course, he also enjoyed lots of cuddle time with baby Allie.



We sure missed Grandpa when he left to go back home. Please come again soon!!!
