My laptop blue-lined on Tuesday afternoon. I tried not to be sad because, well, it's just a computer. Luckily, I backed up the system a month ago. Although, I was inspired to do it earlier in the day on Tuesday and I didn't do it. I wish I would have listened. Bummer. If any of you sent me something important this week, you'll have to try sending it to Travis' email.
I realized today for the umpteenth time that often I am inspired to do things that seen of little consequence but actually make life a whole lot easier. I almost deleted all the pictures on our digital camera after I downloaded a bunch recently. I remember thinking to myself, "No, I better just leave them on the camera, too." I am SO happy we still have all those pictures because I hadn't backed up those photos on my computer. They would have been lost forever besides those I posted on the blog during the past month. I'm really trying to listen to that still, small voice of the Holy Ghost. All the time...
I really need to have copies of all our pictures online, too. I have a Flickr account and have just dabbled in it. Well, I think I just got a big drop kick to get me going to town on those pictures.
I just hi-jacked Travis' laptop so I can write this and catch up on all of your fabulous blogs! I have been doing so much housework this week...especially today...because I don't have anything better to do! I don't have a computer and I don't have book #2 yet. What else would I do with all my free time? Travis just laughed when I told him that tonight and said, "Well, maybe that's a good thing!" I beg to differ.

I'm glad you followed those promptings . . . obviously, we get help a lot more than we think. I need to be better at that. Happy reading, by the way. I have the fourth book but I'm waiting to read it after the Olympics.
Hey - get a friend with a big server and backup once a month. Then you have your stuff in 2 places. Earthquake in Utah, no prob...my stuff is backed up in Denver!
Another option that I am considering is Mozy. I have not used it, but I have many friends that swear by it. the pricing seems pretty cheap.

Bummer, computers can be a pain.
I'm still deciding between mozy and flickr myself.
So did anything come of your great sleep experiment?
So glad to know that someone as stellar as yourself slacks on housework because of blogging and Stephenie Meyer too. Doug razzes me about my "spare time" but I think housewives need a little distraction if they want to keep from going crazy sometimes.
BTW, I read the Twilight series to Doug and he likes them - so tell Travis to get a move on! He also loves my Georgette Heyers, but that might be moving a little too fast for Travis...
That is my nightmare!!! Coby bought a ext. hard drive this last week for work - I think I'll back things up ASAP! Can i share your story in my RS lesson this week? ;-) Wondering when I'll have time to prepare it, so some good stories are always GREAT!!!
Tada! Travis just fixed my laptop tonight! Yipee! Now I can finally update our blog with pictures! I have a lot to catch up on.
Shalyce, feel free to use my sad story...good luck with your lesson!
