He was staying with us until his apartment in Portland was ready for him to move into. He is in the process of writing a book while my sister, Heidi, and their kids live it up in Hawaii. It just happened to work out that Joe was here to keep my boys company while I was gallivanting in California. I'm sure he got a lot of writing done with all the commotion I'm sure echoed through our house all weekend.
Many of you know of our love for a grocery store called Trader Joe's. Well, Tyler started calling Uncle Joe "Trader Joe". At first, I thought he just got mixed up, but then it really stuck. He'd ask me, "Where Trader Joe go?" "Trader Joe go on a walk?" "Bless Trader Joe" It drove Justin crazy and they started having "Joe wars". Justin would yell, "Uncle Joe!" and Tyler would say, "No, Trader Joe!". Over and over and over. I hope he feels loved. Oh, and Joe, you left your shoes....

Joe wars, eh? Sounds like the boys are very protective of their uncle's name. Cute!
Okay, I don't know why - maybe because I am tired - but the last line really made me giggle!
This is so funny. If I were Joe, I would smile every time I heard it.
Love it! Thats a great name, I love how those kind of things stick.
